The Fayette County Republican Party hosted a candidate forum on Sunday, Jan. 28. Coverage of the Precinct 3 and Precinct 4 constables as well as the county attorney candidates appeared in last week’s issue.

Supt.’s contract extended

Following an executive session last week that included the annual evaluation of the superintendent, Dr. Julie Motomura’s contract was extended one year by the Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees. The original agreement included an initial term starting on April 25, 2023 and ending on June 30, 2026.
