Margaret was born on Oct. 1, 1934 to Gus and Emma (Pargac) Miksch. She attended St Rose of Lima Catholic School and graduated from Schulenburg High School in 1953. On June 5, 1955, she married I.J. Pavlicek at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and together they were blessed with five children: Jay, Carolyn, Patricia, Emma and Melissa. I.J. and Margaret settled on the farm south of Schulenburg in 1960, where the family co-owned and operated a dairy farm for several years. While continuing the farming life, Margaret was a homemaker whose specialty was planting wonderful gardens with I.J., with a surplus of fruits and vegetables, canning and baking homemade bread, kolache rolls and her tasty lemon rolls. Margaret also worked at Stanzel’s model aircraft factory for a few years, before she and I.J. began their cage egg layer business in 1980 which they operated until their retirement in 1998. Margaret was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the St. Rose Altar Society.
Margaret’s most cherished times were spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also treasured family beach vacations and collecting sea shells, refinishing old furniture with I.J. and having various holiday celebrations with the entire extended family.
Margaret was truly the most hard-working, strongest and unselfish person. She always put family first and accommodated others by hosting celebrations on various days, just so everyone could attend. Margaret and I.J. built not only a beautiful home full of family but a wonderful life together.
She leaves behind her children, Jay (Suzanne) Pavlicek of Hallettsville, Carolyn (Stan) Sasaki of Schulenburg, Patricia (James) Mazoch of Dubina, Emma (Chris) Proske of La Grange and Melissa (Donald) Zapalac of Schulenburg; grandchildren, Jill (Sam) Muras of Weimar, Brianna (Drew) Quinney of Cameron, Ryan (Amparo) Sasaki of Austin, Megan (Scott) Tobola of Hallettsville, Sarah Proske of Houston, Rebecca (Tyler) Gerik of Fulshear, Robyn (Jacob) Harton of El Campo, Adam Pavlicek of Hallettsville, and Blaine Zapalac and Landry Zapalac of Schulenburg; great-grandchildren, Elyse and Kate Muras, Derek and Dax Quinney and Corbin Tobola; one brother, Edgar (Dorothy) Miksch of Columbus; one sister, Rose (Richard) Geissen of Schulenburg; sister-in-law, Johnelle Minzenmeyer-Miksch of La Grange; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pavlicek Jr.; her parents; brother, Daniel Miksch; sister-in-law, Georgia Mae Miksch; sister, Gertrude Miksch; brother-in-law, Edwin (Papoose) Pavlicek; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Agatha and Fred Zapalac, Della and Joe Kurtz, Georgie and Jerry Havel, and Earlene and Richard O’Brien.
