Paul Victor Lindblade, 83, of Schulenburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022.
Paul was born on Aug. 24, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois, and was preceded in death by his father, Frank Victor Lindblade, and mother, Lois Ruth Lindblade. Paul spent most of his childhood and young adulthood in Oklahoma City, Okla. He attended the University of Oklahoma and was an avid OU fan his whole life. In the late 1960s, he and his family moved to Texas. Paul enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years, along with Houston Symphony Chorus, and is now singing with his Lord and Savior in the heavenly choir. He was always an active member of God’s family. Paul enjoyed owning his own geophysical business for over 30 years and moved out to Schulenburg to the farm and ranch in the late 1980s to continue his active lifestyle.
He is survived by his lovely wife and high school sweetheart, Dixie Lee Crum, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage. He is survived by his amazing seven children, R. Christy Terrel (married to Roger Terrel, DVM), Philip Victor Lindblade (married to Jill Lindblade), Robyn Ann Biles (married to Russel K. Biles, MD), Andrew Frank Lindblade (married to Sandy Lindblade), Allison Lee Lindblade, Stephen Paul Lindblade (married to Stephanie Lindblade) and Glen Matthew Lindblade (married to Casey Lindblade) along with 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral arrangements were under the direction of Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Freyburg United Methodist Church, with services following at noon. Interment, following the service, was in the Freyburg United Methodist Cemetery in Freyburg. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Sam Biles, Jonathan Terrel, Gabriel Terrel, Ryan Lindblade, Matt Lindblade and Nathan Lindblade. Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Terrel, Ben Biles, Brynten Rouse, Zander Lindblade, J.J. Lindblade, Matt Jones and A.J. Rice.
