Bernice Pokluda

Bernice Vrana Pokluda passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022 peacefully at her home in Schulenburg with family by her side. Bernice was born May 10, 1947 to Charlie, Sr. and Emma Vrana. She grew up working very hard raising her seven younger siblings after her father passed away at the age of 39.

Barbara Wick, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022. On Nov. 16, 1937, Barbara, and her twin sister, Patricia, were born to Thomas and Irene (Welch) O’Dell in Hughes Springs, Texas.

Keely Beth Brower of Schulenburg passed away on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at the age of 37 from leukemia. Keely was born on Sept. 4, 1985 in Weimar to parents Byron and Dusty Wagner. On Oct. 12, 2013, she married Jeff Brower and the two resided in Schulenburg.

Juanita Buxkemper, 96, of Schulenburg, Texas passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 in Schulenburg, Texas. She was born on Oct. 28, 1925 in Westphalia, Texas. She was the fourth of eight children of Henry and Antoinette Beach.

Gladys Lorine (Koether) Mach

GLADYS MACH Gladys Lorine (Koether) Mach, 91, of Schulenburg, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022. Gladys was born in Swiss Alp, TX on Nov. 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Dora (Schlottmann) and Edmund Koether. She married Eugene L. Mach on Oct. 7, 1950.

Leon Anthony Severa

Leon Anthony Severa passed away on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. Born May 15, 1942 in Rio Hondo, he was the son of Albert and Josephine (Janacek) Severa. His early childhood years were spent on his parents’ farm located in Schulenburg. He attended Schulenburg High School, graduating in June 1960.
