John J. Kobersky

John J. Kobersky, who would have reached 100 years of age on May 13 of this year, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at his home and farm in Holman, after a year of care provided by his family, caregivers and Brazos Valley Hospice. John was born May 13, 1921, in Lovelady, Houston County.

“As the Lord has ordained, another beautiful flower from the greatest generation has faded into the sunset.” Bernice Herzik, beloved mother, was summoned home by the Lord early Easter Sunday morning, April 4, 2021. She lived a long, fruitful life, having attained 95+ years of age.

Albert E. Olsovsky passed away at his home on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was born on Dec. 18, 1926 in Moravia. He was the sixth of seven children born to Frank J. and Frances Kubos Olsovsky. Albert attended Velehrad School, Moravia School, and graduated from Schulenburg High School class of 1945.

Dean Alan Ahlschlager, formerly of Columbus, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 in La Grange at the age of 59. He was born to Clarence Arthur Ahlschlager Sr. and Lillie Mae (Voitle) Ahlschlager on March 6, 1962 in Columbus.

Ollie M. Pospisil, age 97 of Praha, passed from this world to a better place on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Ollie was the fifth of seven children, born July 29, 1923 in Moravia to Albina Petter Vrana and Emil Vrana Sr.

David Charles Ripper passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18 at Weimar at age 57 months, days. He was born on Jan. 18, 1964 to Walter W. and Annie Mae (Korenek) Ripper at the Weimar hospital.

Robert Besetsny

After a brave battle with cancer, Robert James Besetsny, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 5, 2021, Robert was the son of Clarence and Evelyn Valicek Besetsny. He was born in Hallettsville on Nov. 18, 1951.

Charles Malcolm Lamascus Jr.

Charles Malcolm “Mac” Lamascus Jr. was born March 11, 1946 in Houston to Charles Malcolm “Pat” Lamascus and La-Verne (Schutze) Lamascus. He passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. Mac was a lifelong resident of Schulenburg. He graduated from Schulenburg High School in 1964.

Gloria L. Clifford

Gloria Lorraine (Leach) Clifford, 95, of Tomball, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021. Gloria was born to Winnie Laura (Hoffpauir) Leach and James Hughlin Leach on June 21, 1925. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lehr Clifford.
