After a brave battle with cancer, Robert James Besetsny, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 5, 2021, Robert was the son of Clarence and Evelyn Valicek Besetsny. He was born in Hallettsville on Nov. 18, 1951.

Helen Marak of Schulenburg passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. She was 90 years, 5 months, 12 days of age. Helen was born to Edward and Ida (Miksch) Kleiber in Schulenburg on Aug. 12, 1930. She was the youngest of eight children. She attended St. John’s School.
