Helen Marak of Schulenburg passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. She was 90 years, 5 months, 12 days of age. Helen was born to Edward and Ida (Miksch) Kleiber in Schulenburg on Aug. 12, 1930. She was the youngest of eight children. She attended St. John’s School.

Family and friends celebrated the life of Marie Adelheid Krischke Fajkus, who was born on Dec. 5, 1926 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at the age of 94. She suffered a severe stroke just seven days prior to her death.

Donna Kay Russell was born in Houston on March 9, 1943. She was raised in Pasadena by her parents, Ray and Elma Russell. In 1967, she married Lawrence Berger of Schulenburg. They were married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church Houston. Their 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated at St.
