Eugene George Hrachovy, 78, of La Grange, passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021. Eugene was born on Jan. 8, 1943, the son of John and Annie (Dusek) Hrachovy, in Hostyn. He spent his childhood on the family farm and developed a passion for farming.

Helen Marak of Schulenburg passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center. She was 90 years, 5 months, 12 days of age. Helen was born to Edward and Ida (Miksch) Kleiber in Schulenburg on Aug. 12, 1930. She was the youngest of eight children. She attended St. John’s School.

Marie Fajkus

Family and friends celebrated the life of Marie Adelheid Krischke Fajkus, who was born on Dec. 5, 1926 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at the age of 94. She suffered a severe stroke just seven days prior to her death.

Daniel Gus Miksch passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021 at 8:30 p.m. at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center after a one-month illness. He reached the age of 89 years, 1 month, 20 days. The funeral was originally set for Feb. 14 but was postponed due to the inclement weather.

Agnes Strickland passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at 1:34 a.m. at the Dornburg Center of Compassion Home in Victoria after a brief 10-week illness. Agnes reached the age of 81 years and 3 months. She attended school in Ammannsville.

Evelyn E. Valis

Evelyn E. Valis, 88, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 in Hallettsville. She was born Oct. 15, 1932 in Nada to Emil and Bertha Wesselski. Since 2012, she resided in Schulenburg, originally at College Place Assisted Living and later moved to Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center.

Betty Ann (Supak) Schilhab

Betty Ann (Supak) Schilhab, 77, of Plum, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. Betty was born in Smithville on Sept. 22, 1943 the daughter of Edward and Louise (Jakobeit) Supak. Betty married Alfons “Boots” Schilhab on July 7, 1962 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum.

Lloyd Allen Terrell, age 86, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 in Waelder. He was born to Alvin Bradford Terrell and Nora Desma (Harbuck) Terrell on May 29, 1934 in Three Rivers. Lloyd loved the Lord and made a profession of faith early in life.
