Schulenburg native Randy Hengst, who now lives in North Carolina, sent these photos on Sunday, Feb. 1. He lives just outside Charlotte, N.C. and has been there going on 36 years. According to Hengst, this is the most snow he’s ever seen.

The Round Top Family Library, in partnership with Turtle Wing Foundation, will present a life and independent living skills workshop for ages 8 and up on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.Instructors will be Katie Delgadillo and Stephanie Galvez.

Fayette County’s eight-week “Walk Across Texas!” program – which is designed to help participants create healthy habits, lower the risk of disease, meet new friends and achieve 2026 health goals – will start on Sunday, March 8.

Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Stew Supper The Schulenburg VFD will serve a boneless beef stew supper on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KC Hall. Cost is $15 each for the drive-thru-only plates.
