La Grange Mayor Jan Dockery has signed a proclamation declaring February as “Colorado Valley Quilt Guild Month” in La Grange. The Guild will host its 28th annual “Best Little Quilt Show in Texas” at the KC Hall, 190 South Brown St., La Grange, on Friday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Schulenburg Garden Club met on Tuesday, Feb. 3.Hostesses Patricia Greeson and Janet Kobza decorated the meeting area using a wonderful Valentine theme. Members brought a variety of salads and officers provided a variety of delicious desserts.

Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Stew Supper The Schulenburg VFD will serve a boneless beef stew supper on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KC Hall. Cost is $15 each for the drive-thru-only plates. Deadline to buy tickets was Monday, Feb.
