PLCTM slates donor appreciation dance

The Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum (PLCTM) will host the third annual “donor appreciation dance” on Sunday, Nov. 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Fayette County Fairgrounds pavilion in La Grange.

Christmas Parties

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary Unit will hold their annual Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the American Legion Home in Wolters Park. A social will start at 6 p.m. followed by the meal and awards presentation at 7 p.m.Dress is casual with Legionnaire cap.

Retired Teachers hear from TRTA District 13 president

The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association met Monday, Oct. 13 at the New Life Methodist Church in La Grange with 18 members in attendance.Members enjoyed a special presentation by TRTA District 13 president Joe Ramirez.

Legion and Auxiliary had monthly meetings on Oct. 7

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 7.First vice commander Ed Semler called the meeting to order with 34 Legion and 10 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain Linda Dieringer read the prayer.
