Garden Club learns sustainable farming secrets

The Schulenburg Garden Club held its meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 4, bringing together 15 members and two guests for a festive Thanksgiving-themed luncheon and a wealth of gardening knowledge.
In the Senior Spotlight this month was Harlan Kubos. He shared with Schulenburg members his life story, which is and was filled with music. Growing up with a musical family, it was natural for him to pick up many different instruments and play them well. He has a history of playing with many of the great bands and musicians in the Houston area over the years. And at the same time he held a full-time job, and raised a happy healthy family.
