Author of book on autism to speak in Weimar

Friends of the Weimar Public Library will host author S. Charles Decker on Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. Decker will present his book, The Blanket, A Mother’s Special Needs Journey, the story of a single mother raising an autistic child (April is Autism Awareness Month).

Senior Connections celebrates the vibrant lives of seniors age 55 and up. With a welcoming atmosphere, delicious meals and a variety of engaging activities, there’s always something happening!
Enjoying an adventure to the Heritage Society Museum of Weimar followed by lunch at Rodeo Grill was a large group of Senior Connections members – including (from left) John Soos, August Kalinec, Paul Williams, Betty Helcamp, Jeryln Coleman, Ginni Berwick, Kitra Ruiz, Freida Ellison, Leona Lange, Mary Ann Jurica, Mary Guenther, Misty Scheindler, Annette Jasek, Gloria Cook, Jonell Vasek, Berni Gillings, Carolyn Moore, Debbie Price, Frank Lafferty, Deborah Jones, Irma and Charles Ashenbeck and Gary Pauler.

Spring has sprung! To celebrate the start of the growing season, the Schulenburg Garden Club selected 101 Summit, the home of Karen Husmann, for March yard of the month. With geraniums planted, ferns hanging about and narcissus bulbs shooting up, this home has a great head start on spring planting!
