Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $20,000 to Led + Fed. Monies donated will be used to fund start-up costs for a free monthly community meal event in Schulenburg, beginning in January 2026, with the goal and purpose of sharing God’s love by feeding people through a devotional and a meal.

Library in Round Top sets classes for students

The Round Top Family Library announces that registration is now open for three free programs for students in 2026. All three programs are open to the public.•Ballet class for kindergartners and first graders will be offered on Tuesdays from 4 to 5:15 p.m., January to April.

STAG CHRISTMAS PARTY The “stag” Christmas party will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Schulenburg KC Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m. There will be drinks/snacks and a meal will be served at 7 p.m. A nominal fee will be charged to cover the costs.

The Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum (PLCTM) in La Grange hosted its annual Donor Appreciation Dance on Sunday, Nov. 9. Museum organizers offered polka and waltz dancing for all ages and all levels of experience – from basic steps to twists, turns and twirls.

Legion and Auxiliary had monthly meetings Nov. 4

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 43 Legion and 11 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain Linda Dieringer read the prayer.
