St. James Missionary Baptist Church Fish FrySt. James MBC will hold a building fundraiser fish fry on Friday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with pickup at St. James MBC, 1103 James Ave. The $12 plates will include fried fish, two sides and dessert.
Senior Spotlight on Monday, Jan. 5 in Schulenburg featured Frank Lafferty, a kind and gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor. It was very touching to hear his life story and how he made his way to Flatonia and to Senior Connections. “We are lucky to have him as part of our family,” Stephanie Shroyer, program director, said, “Every morning, I tell myself to ‘Be Like Frank!’”
