Schulenburg High School class of 1970 holds reunion

The Schulenburg High School class of 1970 classmates and friends gathered to celebrate 55 years since graduating. The event was held at the High Hill pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 2. The group enjoyed sharing memories and renewing friendships.
Senior Sp otlight – Kathy Carpenter, a valued volunteer, shared her story for Senior Spotlight. She brought photographs and also had a fun game for members to play, showing who knew her best.

Senior Connections: vibrant hub for active seniors

Next week at Senior Connections, the vibrant community of seniors aged 55 and up will be welcomed to two locations: the Schulenburg campus at 1111 Bohlmann Ave. and Weimar campus at First United Methodist Church, 301 W. St. Charles St. Doors are open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The topic for the “Resources for Successful Living” lunchand- learn series in August will be “Universal Home Design – Make Your HomeYour ‘Forever Home,” set for Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 12:05 to 12:50 p.m. at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104 in La Grange.

CCA Meals

Combined Community Action’s “Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.
