Master Gardeners to host program on plumerias

“Plumerias” will be the topic for the Bluebonnet Master Gardener lunch-and-learn educational program scheduled for Tuesday, June 10 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange.Guest speaker will be Master Gardener Faye Beery.

Fayette County Czech Heritage Society The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society will host its annual Piknik, with a meeting to follow, on Tuesday, June 10 at 6 p.m. at TCHCC in La Grange.

Legion & AuxiliaryAmerican Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary will hold their next monthly meetings on Tuesday, June 3 at the American Legion Home in Schulenburg beginning at 7 p.m. All members and prospective members are invited to attend.
A contingent of Senior Connections members traveled to Gonzales recently to learn about the city’s important role in Texas history, visiting many sites where action took place. Two knowledgeable guides shared the story. The tour ended at the Gonzales Memorial Museum, where everyone gathered to view one of the “Come & Take It”cannons and many fascinating displays.
