Domino tourney, wild game supper set in Hallettsville

The Hallettsville KC Hall will be the site for the 73rd Texas State Championship Domino Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 19, and the annual wild game supper on Saturday, Jan. 25.For the domino tournament on Jan. 19, registration will begin at 7 a.m. and play will begin at 9 a.m. sharp.

LCRA representatives presented a $23,684 grant to the La Grange Education Support Program Foundation for renovations to restrooms in the 1938 Hermes Gym in La Grange. The grant is part of LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program.

Czech Society enjoys Christmas gathering

The annual Fayette County Czech Heritage Society Christmas party was held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange.The evening began with socializing and singing of Czech party songs and Christmas carols to the music of Jimmie Fucik on accordion.
