Legion and Auxiliary had monthly meetings on Nov. 5

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 35 Legion members, 10 Auxiliary members and one new Auxiliary member in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain Linda Dieringer read the prayer.

Local library receives memorials and new books

The beautiful fall season has arrived, with the leaves on the trees turning golden yellow, brown and orange, so everyone is invited to stop by the Schulenburg Public Library to check out some awesome fall decorating books and other new books recently added to the library’s collection.

Sr. Connections to host a fun-filled week of activities

Senior Connections, a senior citizen activity center, offers a variety of engaging activities and delicious meals to brighten the days of local seniors. The schedule is always filled with camaraderie, creativity and community spirit, from festive conversations and games to creative art projects.

Twenty-five members and guests were present at the Hermann Sons Life Lodge 14 meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13.The minutes were read by Mary K. Seifert in the absence of secretary Junette Rodecap. Chelsea Moeller gave the finance report.
