Shakespeare at Winedale performances start July 18

Shakespeare at Winedale’s 2024 summer class takes the stage this July with performances of Shakespeare’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Othello.” The season will open on Thursday, July 18, and run through Sunday, Aug. 11.

DieringerThe 29th Dieringer reunion will be held on Saturday, July 20 at Freyburg Hall. A social will start at 1 p.m., meeting at 3 p.m., auction at 3:30 p.m. and meal at 5:30 p.m.The catered meal will include brisket, sausage, chicken, potatoes, beans and salad.

Young FarmersThe Schulenburg Young Farmers will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. at the Schulenburg Expo Center.The program will be on fire prevention and safety and the chairman will be Frank Wick III.

Community Outreach Praise & Worship GatheringCommunity Outreach, a local church group in Schulenburg, invites everyone to come hear the word of God and fellowship with the congregation in praise and worship on Saturday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wolters Park pavilion.
The Sprout to Share Free Seed Library, located inside Create Space Studio at 717 Walnut in Columbus, will open Saturday, Aug. 24 but seed donation boxes and volunteer sign-up sheets are already available.

Free seed library to open Aug. 24 in Columbus

Area gardening enthusiasts have banded together to create a free community seed library for all residents of Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca and Wharton Counties. Beginner gardeners are encouraged to participate, but the library is for every level of gardener.
