Alexandra Rae Bruns and Matthew Scott Blair exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 at 3 p.m. outside Freyburg Hall in Freyburg. The couple was married by Pastor Tim Rowell of Flatonia Baptist Church under the live oak trees and a cedar arbor.

Swedish immigrant donates over 10,000 books and images to University of Texas By Jeff Messer Swante Palm, originally named Swen Jaensson, immigrated to Texas from Sweden in 1844, arriving at Galveston following his nephew Swen Swenson who was of similar age.

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 35 Legion members, 10 Auxiliary members and one new Auxiliary member in attendance.

Thanksgiving HolidayMost local businesses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28. The City of Schulenburg and Fayette County offices will have holidays on both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29.The Sticker will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29.
