The residence of Pat and Eamon McCourt at 703 Hillje Ave. was selected for April yard of the month honors by the Schulenburg Garden Club committee consisting of Delia Jurica and Jerry Leonard.
The High Hill-Schulenburg branch of Catholic Life Insurance made a monetary donation to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. Sr. Connections welcomes new program director

Senior Connections welcomes Stephanie Shroyer as its new program director. Shroyer has called Fayette County home since 1976 and has been an active resident of Schulenburg for the past 12 years. She is deeply rooted in the community and is committed to serving its members with care and integrity.

Bishop Forest museum to be open April 6

The Bishop Forest Memorial Museum will have its doors open Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to welcome all visitors – especially the Bishop Forest class of 1974. The museum is located within the structure previously known as Bishop Forest High School (1955 to 1989).

Schulenburg Sausagefest The ninth annual Schulenburg Sausagefest will be held on Saturday, April 6 in downtown Schulenburg from 11:15 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Live music will feature the Czechaholics, Mark Halata & Texavia, Darrel Appelt and headliner Broken Alibi.

Fayette Czech Heritage Society has special meeting

The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society held a special meeting in Hanslik Hall at the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange on March 24. The current reigning 2023-24 CHS Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen, Katie Kostelnik, honored the society with her presence.
