Sr. Connections: the place for active srs.

Senior Connections, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant community for seniors age 55 and up, has become the place to be for active seniors in Fayette, Colorado and Lavaca counties. With locations in Schulenburg at 1111 Bohlmann Ave.
The St. Patrick’s Day program was given at the La Grange Opera House, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Franklin and Colorado streets, where the city hall now stands. The front area along Franklin Street was a library and meeting room. The stage area was at the back of the building, with the audience seated in between on both the ground floor and on a large horseshoeshaped gallery or balcony overhead.

Retired Teachers learn about Habitat assistance

The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association met Monday, March 9 at the New Life Methodist Church in La Grange.Guest speaker was Kenny Couch, executive director of Fayette County Habitat for Humanity. Couch spoke about lowcost repair loans for both current school employees and TRS annuitants.
