Literary Club hears from county judge candidates

The Schulenburg Literary Club met on April 14 in the Schulenburg Public Library.Hostesses Ona Marak, Marilyn Mokwa, Suzette Surman and Clarice Vecera served a delicious luncheon of “Super S” salad, chicken spaghetti and garlic breadsticks.

Fayette County Farm Bureau Food DriveThe Fayette County Farm Bureau is holding a food drive from Wednesday, April 15 through Thursday, April 30. Donations can be dropped off at the Farm Bureau Office, 411 East Colorado St., La Grange.

West Navidad WMA sets spring meeting April 25

The West Navidad Wildlife Management Association will hold its spring meeting on Saturday, April 25 at the Rockin W sale barn on Highway 77 north of Schulenburg.A social with bingo will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a barbecue picnic from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
