Lady Horns keep district record spotless with five-set win in finale

The Lady Horns got off to a slow start in the District 27-2A finale at home last Tuesday against Shiner but regrouped to win the match 3-2. The Lady Comanches needed a victory to avoid a second-play tie with Weimar and came out strong, taking the first two sets.

Hornets slip by upset-minded Shorthorns to claim district title

Instead of inches, it was more like a game of a yard or so for the Shorthorns in Holland last Friday. That’s how close they were to going up by 10 points with under six minutes left but a fumble through the end zone helped the Hornets fend off Schulenburg 36-32.

SHS XC teams compete at 2A Region IV meet in Corpus Christi

Schulenburg High School’s cross country teams competed in the Class 2A Region IV meet at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The event, which included all classifications, was held Oct. 23--24 with 2A qualifiers running last Tuesday.
