Vets pick up forfeit win over Jackson County

The Weimar Vets claimed their third win of the 2023 Community League season this past Sunday, June 25 as the Jackson County Thunder did not have enough players and were forced to forfeit. A five-inning exhibition game was played.

The Community League’s firstplace team remained undefeated as Serbin defeated Weimar 7-1 this past Sunday, June 18 at Strickland Field. The Jackrabbits out-hit the Vets 11-6 and built a 6-0 lead with three runs in the third and three more in the fifth.

One of two aces in two-day span at Weimar Golf Course
