Horns score three TDs, give up three in scrimmage vs. Hallettsville, Giddings

In their final tune-up before the regular season, the Shorthorns took on Class 3A Division I Hallettsville and 4A Division II Giddings in Hallettsville last Thursday.The varsity first team scored on its first possession against the Brahmas, driving 70 yards in 13 plays.

Lady Horns fall to Bellville, claim Silver Bracket title in local tournament

After a road loss to a formidable Class 4A foe last Tuesday, the Schulenburg High volleyball team went 6-2 in the Lady Horn Classic.The Lady Horns won the Silver Bracket and upped their season record to 11-7.In Bellville on Aug.

SHS starts XC season with meet in El Campo

The Shorthorns and Lady Horns got their cross country season under way at a meet in El Campo at Legacy Fields on Wednesday, Aug. 20.Ellie Hammack placed second in the junior varsity girls’ division while Victor Mandujano led the varsity boys’ team and Carlos Flores paced the junior varsity Horns.
