Centerville shuts out Schulenburg after Horns’ walk-off win

To start the Class 2A Division I state semifinal series in Caldwell, the Shorthorns rallied for their third walk-off win of the playoffs only to have Centerville pitchers toss shutouts to close out the bestof-three series.

Seniors see successful turnaround on diamond

Contributing when they were underclassmen, the five seniors on the 2025 Shorthorn baseball team experienced their share of growing pains.Aaron Janecek, Brycen Schramek, Tyson Wagner, Cooper Demel, and Zane Brenek saw a 4-17 season before their freshman year.
