Horns move up standings with wins last week

After an 0-2 start to district play, the Shorthorns upped their winning streak to four games last week to go from the bottom of the 28-2A standings into a tie for second place at 4-2.Schulenburg (11-11) was able to fend off the Bulldogs in Flatonia for a 52-40 victory on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Lady Horns defeat Louise after loss in Flatonia

The Lady Horns followed up a poor showing in Flatonia last Tuesday with a victory at home over Louise on Friday.Schulenburg maintained its fourth-place spot in District 282A at 4-4 with a season record of 15-10.The district’s top team brought its “A” game on Jan.

K. of C. free throw contest scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25

Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council 2902 will host the local level of the K. of C. Free Throw Championship on Saturday, Jan. 25.It will be held at Schulenburg ISD’s new gym at 10 a.m. Registration will begin at the gym at 9:30 a.m. There is no cost to enter.
