Horns start season by going 3-2 in La Grange Schmeckenfest event

As the only Class 2A team in the Schmeckenfest Shootout, hosted by La Grange High School, the Shorthorns won three of five games against larger schools to finish in fifth place.Schulenburg got its season started with a 65-41 victory over Hallettsville in the tournament on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Lady Horns win five of six in local tournament, upping record to 9-4

After a loss on the road at Yoakum last Tuesday, the Lady Horns posted an impressive 5-1 mark in their “Sweet 16” tournament.With a 9-4 season record, Schulenburg already surpassed its win total from last year as District 28-2A play was scheduled to get under way this week.
