The American Volleyball Coaches Association proudly announced its fourth annual AVCA Best and Brightest Awards last week honoring individual high school senior student-athletes who excel on and off the court from across the United States.

Horns build big lead in Bloomington, notch 30-point win

By the time the Shorthorns ran 13 plays on offense last Friday in Bloomington, they scored six touchdowns. With backups, including several players up from the junior varsity, taking the field in a sloppy second half, Schulenburg cruised to a 42-12 win.

In fourth five-set district match, Lady Horns prevail over Ladycats

For the fourth straight week, the Lady Horns went five sets against a District 27-2A foe. They outlasted Weimar in their latest marathon match Oct. 22.
