Navidad Valley CattleWomen will hold their 11th annual 5K Ranch Run on Saturday, Aug. 3 in conjunction with the Schulenburg Festival.The reunion theme will continue as it has inspired family fun and teamwork for many years.

Twin Cities Little League all-star teams compete in District 13 tournaments

All but two of the Little League Texas East District 13 all-star tournaments were completed by this past Sunday.Twin Cities (Schulenburg and Flatonia) competed in four of the events.Results from District 13 “district- only” tournaments follow (winners do not advance).

Schulenburg to host pair of Little League sectionals

Schulenburg Little League will serve as the host for two sectional tournaments. Both will be played at the Sports Complex.Junior League Baseball Game 1 – District 13 (Columbus) vs. District 33 on June 26 at 7 p.m.;Game 2 – District 10 vs. winner of Game 1 on June 27 at 7 p.m.

Goode garners academic all-state honor from THSCA

Lady Horn shortstop Haylie Goode, who finished up her high school career this past season, earned first-team academic all-state in softball from the Texas High School Coaches Association.

Amendment passes for split divisions in 4 sports

Along with decisions on proposed rule changes in academics, athletics, music, and policy, the University Interscholastic League Legislative Council passed an amendment on Tuesday, June 11 for adding split divisions in the postseason.
