Alumni game ends in 5-5 tie

The former Shorthorns were granted the alumni game trophy after the contest Saturday ended in 5-5 tie.

Hearne ousts Horns for second straight year

Much like 2023, Hearne’s size inside proved too tall a task for the Shorthorns in last week’s bidistrict playoff game in Brenham. Dereion Mitchell, a 6-4 junior, did most of the damage as he scored 28 points in the Eagles’ 57-52 win.

Lady Horns go 2-2 after loss to Burton

The Lady Horns suffered two lopsided losses but added a pair of sizeable wins along with a four-run setback last week. Schulenburg (3-4) managed just one hit, by Olivia Mathis, against Burton at the Sports Complex on Tuesday.
