Local soccer team playing for league championship this Sunday

Schulenburg defeated Brenham 3-2 this past Sunday, March 10 at the Sports Complex to get within one win of a league championship. The team can claim the title of the 10-team Liga Latino Americana with a victory this Sunday, March 17 in Brenham.

Three Shorthorn lifters earn medals at regional

Three Shorthorns totaled 10 points for placing in the top five in their respective weight classes at the Region IV Division 4 meet of the Texas High School Powerlifting Association. The event was held at Colmesneil High School on Saturday, March 9.

Lady Horns run-ruled by Ganado to start district, go 3-1 in local tourney

After an 18-run loss on the road against the No. 13-ranked team in Class 2A, the Lady Horns won three out of four games in the tournament held at the Schulenburg Sports Complex.

Schulenburg Little League sets opening day ceremony for Sun.

Schulenburg Little League will kick off its 2024 season with an opening day ceremony this Sunday, March 10. The event will be held on the high school baseball field at the Schulenburg Sports Complex starting at 1 p.m. The Rev. Luke Prihoda is slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
