With a 28-point fourth quarter on the road last Friday, the Shorthorns cruised to a 57-18 win over Louise, improving to 5-1 in District 28-2A and 10-14 on the season. Even with two players missing the game after an open date on Jan.

After an open date on their schedule last Tuesday, the Lady Horns traveled to Louise on Friday and held the Lady Hornets to 24 points in a 19-point win. Schulenburg improved to 5-23 on the season and 1-6 in District 28-2A.

KC free throw contest set for this Saturday

Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council 2902 will host the local level of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship on Saturday, Jan. 27. It will be held at Schulenburg ISD’s new gym at 10 a.m. Registration will begin at the gym starting at 9:30 a.m. There is no cost to enter.
