Healthy lunch for children up to age 18 is being provided through “Seamless Summer Operations” at Schulenburg ISD. This includes summer school, Schulenburg Boys & Girls Club (serving at 11 a.m.) and school cafeteria (serving from 11:30 a.m. to noon).

Puppeteer Pix Smith from Dallas presented “Fun of String Variety” at the Schulenburg Public Library to an audience of about 40 on Wednesday, June 10. His musical show featured large-scale marionettes and a lively score.

Navidad Valley CattleWomen give 11 scholarships

Navidad Valley CattleWomen recently awarded 11 scholarships to class of 2026 high school graduates from Fayette, Colorado and Lavaca counties. Due to the generous support of the community for the NVCW 5K Ranch Run in August, CattleWomen were able to award $12,000.

St. Rose eighth graders receive Bishop’s Award

Students from the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School eighth grade class traveled to Victoria on Monday, April 27 to participate in the Diocese of Victoria Bishop’s Award ceremony held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory, where students were recognized with district honors.
