Praise in the ParkPraise in the Park, presented by Community Friends & Neighbors, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wolters Park pavilion, 1103 Bohlmann Ave. Admission will be free and a complimentary hot dog meal combo will be served.

Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

Have you ever wondered what the cities of the Bible must have looked like in their day? For instance, the city of Philippi … where the Apostle Paul had an amazing ministry and the Biblical accounts from there still encourage us today. Of course, it’s only an archaeological site today.

Stop by and meet Que. He is truly the best boy. He is about 2 years old and 55 pounds. Que is extremely cuddly and eager to please. He loves praise, play, treats and human affection. He is calm and polite indoors and can self-entertain with toys.

Senior Connections is excited to welcome both new and returning members to its vibrant gathering places for active seniors in Fayette, Colorado, and Lavaca counties. Its mission is straightforward: to keep seniors age 55 and up engaged, healthy and connected to their community.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA), Court St. Rose 1597, held its priest appreciation salad supper at the Tuesday, Oct. 21 meeting to show appreciation and gratitude to area priests for their selfless service.
