A Memorial Service for Evelyn Meyer, age 85, of Schulenburg will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg.Inurnment will be private in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg.The Parish Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. from the church.

Second Chance helps Fayette Co. Helpers Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $2,500 to Fayette County Helpers. Monies granted will be used to purchase backpacks and school supplies for children across Fayette County.

The Gardenia E. JanssenAnimal Shelter hours of operation are as follows: open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations.On Monday, the shelter is closed to the public but staff is on-site for animal care from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
