Animal Shelter statistics

Last week, the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter took in 36 dogs and cats in need. Spring has sprung and the kittens and puppies are rolling in! For those who have ever considered fostering or adopting, now is the time.

Flatonia Baptist Church to host Baylor Men’s Choir

The Baylor University Men’s Choir will perform at Flatonia Baptist Church, 225 East 6th St., on Friday, April 4 at 7 p.m. as part of its spring tour. Everyone is invited to come hear the choir’s inspiring musicianship.

Second Chance gives to Fayette County theatre group

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $10,000 to the Fayette County Community Theatre (FCCT). Monies granted will be used to support theatre box office operations and the rising costs associated with putting on performances throughout the year.

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $15,000 to the Texas Heroes Museum. Monies granted will be used to replace the building’s current access ramp with an aluminum ADA-compliant access ramp.
