Zion Lutheran donates $7,224 to local fire department

The members of Zion Lutheran Church in Schulenburg presented a check to the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $7,224 for the specific purchase of new emergency egress air bags which the department has long wanted to replace.

Utex employees hold food drive for SAFP

Animal Shelter statistics

As of Dec. 13, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,624 for the year – 728 dogs and 896 cats in need.As of Dec. 13, the shelter had 104 animals in its care – 61 dogs and 43 cats.For 2024, the shelter continues to average 32 animals incoming each week.

Fitness Center collects for SAFP

Schulenburg Family Fitness Center staff and members donated 80 pounds of nonperishable food to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. The Fitness Center wishes everyone in the community love and good health this Christmas season.
