Animal Shelter statistics

As of Feb. 21, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter for 2025 stood at 224 – 117 dogs and 107 cats in need.As of Feb. 21, the shelter had 81 animals in its care – 66 dogs and 15 cats.

Praha KJZT donates toward St. Rose School renovation

A $200 donation from the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 4 of Praha was recently deposited into the Matching Funds Campaign account at Fayette Savings Bank (FSB) for the benefit of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School renovation campaign.

CCA Meals

Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.
