CCA Meals

Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

At the Fayette County Fair Association’s October membership meeting, checks were presented to the nonprofit organizations that sponsored Queen contestants this past year. The Fayette County Fair Association awarded $7,072.50 to three organizations.

As of Oct. 25, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,357 for the year – 609 dogs and 748 cats in need.As of Oct. 25, the shelter had 117 animals in its care – 42 dogs and 75 cats.
