Fair Assn. presents donations to three organizations

At the Fayette County Fair Association’s October membership meeting, checks were presented to the nonprofit organizations that sponsored Queen contestants this past year. The Fayette County Fair Association awarded $7,072.50 to three organizations.

What’s happening at Senior Connections

Senior Connections plans to start the week with a laugh. Thanks to Fayette County Community Theater, the play “Four Old Broads” is at the historic Casino Hall in La Grange. The sold-out matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 27 has 20-plus Senior Connections members attending.

CCA Meals

Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located at First Baptist Church, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Meals should be ordered two weeks in advance and will be delivered to the homebound, or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

It’s Pit Bull Awareness Month

In honor of Pit Bull Awareness Month, the shelter would like to invite everyone to visit. The shelter has many very adoptable pit bulls in its kennel who are awaiting their forever families.In addition, the shelter’s adoptable cat room is at maximum capacity.
