SENIOR DOGS IN NEED OF RESCUE! Choco is a 7-year-old American pitbull who is 70 pounds. Hazel is a 9-year-old labrador mix weighing in at 85 pounds. Both dogs have been neutered/spayed. They are both people and dog friendly. They are kennel and leash trained.

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will hold a charity workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange (the week after Thanksgiving). This workshop will benefit surrounding areas because quilts will be made for residents in nursing care facilities.

As of Nov. 10, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,461 for the year– 672 dogs and 789 cats in need. As of Nov. 10, the shelter had 115 animals in its care – 53 dogs and 62 cats.

CCAs “Meals on Wheels,” located in the Civic Center, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Please call 979-743-4036 two weeks in advance for the meals, which will be delivered to the homebound or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.
