Prepaid college tuition plan enrollment under way

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock reminds families that it’s not too late to save on enrollment in the Texas Tuition Promise Fund, the state’s prepaid college tuition plan.The $25 application fee to enroll is waived for September and October enrollments. Enrollment runs through Feb. 28, 2026.

Free College Application Week slated Oct. 13-19

Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) announce Free College Application Week, Oct. 13-19.In its first year, Free College Application Week will be Oct. 13-19 in 2025 and every year afterward, it will be held the second full week of October (Monday-Sunday).
