The students and staff of Schulenburg Secondary (grades 7-12) were treated to a Mental Health Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 20 that consisted of presentations about various aspects of mental health.

The Schulenburg 4-H Club invites everyone to come see what 4-H has to offer at its first meeting of the 2025-26 club year on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Schulenburg Expo Center.Jimbo’s Italian Ice will be set up after the meeting for each club member to get a free Italian ice.

Medication aide refresher set at Blinn-Schulenburg

The Blinn College-Schulenburg campus will host a medication aide refresher course designed to meet annual state requirements.The one-day, $75 course will meet Friday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in-person on the Schulenburg campus and through interactive video on the Bryan campus.

Fayette County Fair contestants for Little Miss and Little Mister named

As the Fayette County Fair nears and the Queen and Junior Miss contestants continue to work hard selling season and carnival passes, contestants have been announced for the Little Miss and Little Mister titles that will also be awarded at the pageant. The pageant is slated for Thursday, Aug.

Fayette 4-H’ers get awards at annual banquet

The annual Fayette County 4-H Banquet was held on Sunday,Aug. 10 at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange. The 4-H banquet is the highlight and culmination of the year’s activities for members, as one year closes and a new year begins.
