The Boys & Girls Clubs of Champion Valley welcomed back members for the spring session, which opened on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Shown are members headed to the Schulenburg Unit. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Champion Valley, established in 2004, currently operates three units – Schulenburg, 1100 Bohlmann Ave.

Fayette Electric Cooperative invites high school students to apply for the Government-in-Action Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., from June 15–22.

Valchar on fall 2024 AngeloState Dean’s List

Angelo State University in San Angelo has announced the students achieving the Dean’s List for the 2024 fall semester, including Kobi Valchar from Schulenburg.To be eligible for the ASU Dean’s List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

ACCSS, BRIDGE to host College & Career Fair

A College & Career Fair, hosted by ACCSS and BRIDGE, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Schulenburg Hall, 405 South St. This event is open to the public.All high schools in the area are invited to bring their students, particularly 10th and 11th graders.

Turtle Wing Toast set Jan. 23 at Sengelmann

Turtle Wing Foundation’s annual Toast event is slated for Thursday, Jan. 23 at Sengelmann Hall (upstairs) in Schulenburg.Doors will open and cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
