Two fire depts. respond to house fire in Cistern

A 911 call reporting a structure fire near Highway 95 in the Cistern area was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center on Monday, May 15 around 6:50 p.m., according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.

Sales tax allocations for May total $1.2 billion

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, May 10 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 4.3 percent more than in May 2022.
