A 911 call reporting a vehicle fire on I-10 westbound near the 661 mile marker near Flatonia was received by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, April 15 at 3:08 p.m., according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.

Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced on Wednesday, April 12 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $977.2 million in local sales tax allocations for April, 12.8 percent more than in April 2022.
