CARTS offers free rides for early voting, Election Day

The Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) will offer free rides for voters during early voting and on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. The early voting period runs through Friday, Nov. 4 (hours may vary based on where a voter lives).

Early voting by personal appearance in the General Election continues through Friday, Nov. 4 at the Fayette County Elections Office, 275 Ellinger Road, Suite A, La Grange, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, mail-in ballots are due at the Elections Office by 7 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, Nov.

FEC, CVTC host annual Document Shred Day

In observance of National Co-op Month in October, Fayette Electric Cooperative and Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative came together to host their fifth annual Document Shred Day on Friday, Oct. 7. Members from both cooperatives took advantage of free shredding services at both locations.

The Fayette County winter feral hog contest will begin on Saturday, Nov. 5 and will continue through Jan. 1, 2023. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in the control feral hogs in Fayette County.
