August sales tax allocations total $1.3 billion

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced on Wednesday, Aug. 6 that he was sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for August, 5.2 percent more than in August 2024.
