At approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, the Schulenburg Police Department was notified that a theft had just occurred at Pilot, which is located at the intersection of Highway 77 and Interstate 10.

Unemployment rates stay steady in June for state, county while Texas sets records for jobs, employment, labor force

Texas broke three records in June with number of jobs, number employed, and the size of the state’s civilian labor force, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate remained at 4.1 percent statewide from May.

TxDOT starts work on US 77 north of town

The Yoakum District of the Texas Department of Transportation announced via social media that its district-wide seal coat project would be continuing this week on U. S. Highway 77. The work was scheduled to start on Tuesday, July 18 at the Schulenburg city limits and head northward.
