The Shorthorns swept Charlotte 5-1, 13-3 in a best-of-three area series last week in Kenedy to advance to the Class 2A Division I Region IV semifinals.

Results for City, SISD elections

The joint election for the City of Schulenburg and Schulenburg ISD was held Saturday, May 2 at the Schulenburg Public Library. A total of 282 ballots were case in the City election while the school board race drew 519 votes, according to the Office of the Fayette County Elections Administrator.
