Two arrests were made after cocaine was located during a traffic stop on Interstate 10 about four miles west of Schulenburg on Wednesday, Jan. 21, according to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.Sheriff Korenek reports that around 3:36 p.m.

LG hospital may open this spring

The hospital known as St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange closed its doors in October of 2023 due to financial strains but efforts have continued to get it reopened.

Road to close for bridge replacement

Fayette County Precinct 4 Commissioner Drew Brossmann would like to inform the public that, starting on Monday, Jan. 26, the bridge on Foster Creek Road (which runs from the north Interstate 10 frontage to FM 2672) at Fosters Creek will be closed for replacement.
